Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and innovative Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design and will be responsible for creating progressive, transfer, and line dies using NX (unigraphics) software. This role requires proficiency in various design tools and methodologies, including GD&T and engineering, to ensure high-quality, efficient, and accurate designs from concept through to assembly.
Responsibilities
- Develop and create stamping die designs and mechanical designs using CAD software, primarily NX.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to draft designs that meet project specifications and requirements.
- Utilize Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to communicate design intent effectively.
- Build and modify existing designs based on feedback from team members and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, revisions, and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software, specifically NX, is essential.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including GD&T and FEA techniques.
- Experience in drafting schematics and assembling mechanical components is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of design work.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to articulate design concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
