Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop CNC programs, tooling, fixturing, and machining processes for aerospace and defense components.
- Analyze and define manufacturing methods and process flows for complex, tight-tolerance parts.
- Create and maintain method instructions / operation sheets, including setups, tooling lists, operation sequences, speeds and feeds, cycle time standards, and routings.
- Support RFQ activity, including estimating, manufacturability reviews, and process planning.
- Participate in design, manufacturing, and test documentation reviews to ensure compliance with contractual, program, design, and quality requirements.
- Assist with engineering analysis, customer requirement interpretation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support production with troubleshooting, optimization, and new program launches.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of CNC programming experience (Mastercam preferred).
- 5 years of experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing, machining, or process engineering.
- Strong background in advanced machining (mills, lathes, multi-axis machining, grinding, etc.).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
- Solid computer and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred
OR
- 5 years of aerospace manufacturing experience with strong CAD/CAM programming background
Work Environment
- Full-time, on-site role (not eligible for remote work)
- 10-hour shifts
- Not eligible for relocation reimbursement
ITAR Requirement
This position requires access to information and technology subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
