Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, offering recommendations and answering questions about food and beverages
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness to support smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred; experience with fine dining or nightclubs is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently with excellent time management skills in a busy environment
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks
- Experience in food industry roles such as serving, host/hostess duties, or kitchen support is beneficial
