What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Clerk position at CACL Financial?
CACL Federal Credit Union is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Loan Department as a Loan Clerk!
This position plays an important role in supporting both our members and our lending team through the loan process. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, team-focused, and enjoys helping people in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist members in person, over the phone, and through email
- Help members complete loan applications and gather required documentation
- Support Loan Officers and Loan Processors throughout the lending process
- Disburse approved loans and verify required documentation
- Prepare loan documents and maintain accurate records
- Process title work, liens, and related documentation
- Prepare member correspondence including thank-you and denial letters
- Assist with mortgage funding and loan file maintenance
- Work closely with team members to ensure accuracy and quality within loan files
- Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations including BSA and OFAC
- Provide general support to the Loan Department as needed

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Previous financial institution experience is helpful, but not required
