More About the Role:
Responsible for the overall management, performance, and completion of projects, tasks, or delivery orders as part of a program. Duties include all areas of project management, from initiation through closeout to ensure the successful execution of the project's mission, goals, and objectives. Responsible for managing one or more activities, control account, tasks within the project/program.
CACI is seeking a Technical Project Manager to be responsible for an engineering project that focus is development. The project manager will coordinate with a technical team in order to plan, design, build, test, and deploy mission critical systems. The Project Manager will provide leadership to a project management office for a Government customer. Management of team, assisting them to work across all scope defined activities to meet project requirements and milestones.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Conduct all Project reviews and meetings as required, to ensure successful task delivery. Design tools and Develop a customer approved plan that represent an Agile approach for delivering software projects. Leading Agile training for the method selected for each software project. Work closely with the Engineers, Developers, Testers other stakeholders to ensure projects are prioritized and managed according to the Project schedule. Lead efforts to improve project management and project scheduling. Oversee the development of a Master Schedule for all active projects. Coordinate matrixed technical support from multiple departments to accomplish organizational projects.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- 10+ years of IT Management background specifically with, software development and/or software engineering
- Proven ability in managing a Software Development or Software Engineering programs with 50+ employees
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Managing and reporting cost, schedule, risk, issues, and technical performance to customer.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, coordinate, and convey recommended software solutions for and to clients
- Proven formal Risk Management experience, based on industry best practices (ITIL, PMP, or INCOSE)
- Experience working in a dynamic and collaborative environment
- Experience working with an integrated master schedule for several projects
- Experience developing Business and Systems requirements
- Requirements Engineering experience
- TS/SCI with Poly required and must be within five years of the last investigation
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Experience with Microsoft Project Server
