The Opportunity:
CACI's Analytics Solution's Internal Research and Development (IRAD) group is seeking a Data Scientist/Researcher to work in our research and development lab in Denver, CO. Our IRAD team researches and develops innovative software-based solutions that support multiple sectors that include Defense, National Security, Intelligence, and others. Responsibilities:
- Work within a cross-disciplinary team to research new applications of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning analytics.
- Responsible for implementing experiments by leveraging open source and custom tools and techniques
- Use critical thinking to assess deficiencies in existing solutions or expert system-based applications and provide recommendations for improvement
Qualifications:
Required:
3 years of related experience- University Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related Engineering discipline
- Expertise in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning and Radio Frequency (RF) systems, combining deep knowledge of signal processing, spectrum analysis, and electromagnetic propagation with data-driven modeling and algorithm development.
- Experienced in applying supervised and unsupervised ML techniques to RF datasets, including classification, anomaly detection, and predictive modeling. Strong foundation in statistical estimation, linear algebra, and optimization, with hands-on experience in translating complex operational problems into scalable AI-enabled solutions.
- Knowledge and practical experience using a variety of machine learning techniques, for example: linear regression, logistic regression, neural networks, support vector machines, anomaly detection, natural language processing, clustering and classification algorithms
- Experience with Python and modern deep learning frameworks, such as Keras, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Recognized subject matter expert, impeccable engineering skills and deep understanding of the scientific models.
- Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem
- Regularly employs ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions to solve difficult problems
- Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedures
- Steers high impact data science projects across business units
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance

- Experience working within research and development (R&D) environments
- Experience working within Agile development teams leveraging DevOps methodology
- Experience working within cross-functional teams following a SCRUM/Sprint-based project execution
- Experience delivering software systems for DoD customers

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
