Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

We are in search of a caring early childhood teacher who is passionate about working with young children. CACC Montessori School is offering a $300 sign-on bonus to qualified candidates!

Part-time (2:00pm – 6:00pm). Additional hours may be available on non-school days such as federal holidays, in-service days, Winter break and Spring break. Subbing hours are also available.

Prior classroom experience with infants and toddlers is required; TECE certificate or equivalent is preferred.

This is a permanent position for the entire year. Primary responsibilities for this position include:

• Maintain a respectful and nurturing caregiving relationship with children.
• Directly engage with children to meet their physical, language, and learning needs.
• Plan and implement hands-on activities for circle time, art, and physical activity.
• Ensure school rules and procedures are followed through gentle redirection, effective communication, and building trust with each student.
• Supervise children so as to preempt challenging situations and engage in positive problem-solving techniques.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Communicate respectfully with parents.
• Assist in the execution of an exceptional after-school program, aligning with our school policies and philosophy.

Candidates must pass required state background checks. We provide health and dental benefits, 403B retirement plans, sick leave, and tuition benefits for qualified employees. The hourly rate for this position is between $15.50- $17.00 per hour. The pay range listed here is what we in good faith anticipate offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, and certifications.
