What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Technician position at CAC Industries, Inc?
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our construction company (underground utility construction). In this pivotal role, you will ensure our construction crews are following safety protocols and document crew hours worked as well as document work performed and prepare detailed sketches of underground gas pipe installations.
Experience not necessary as we will train the right candidate. Must have clean drivers record and a personal vehicle (vehicle reimbursement is paid in addition to pay listed).
Duties
- Visit work locations throughout NYC (Bronx, Manhattan, Queens primarily) and conduct safety inspections and document work performed (including measurements of pipe installed and location of pipe)
- Prepare daily log of crew and hours worked for multiple crews
- Communicate with Foreman regularly about crew members working, equipment on location, any overtime worked and additional items to be billed (Time and Equipment)
Experience (Helpful, but not required)
- Working in construction industry (specifically underground utility construction)
- Computer Aided Design (CADD) - used on some locations to sketch work performed. Will train the right candidate, but experience/understanding of CADD would be a plus.
- OSHA 30 Qualification is a plus. Obtaining OSHA 30 will be a requirement if hired.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills to document performance on multiple work locations at the same time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.46 - $29.46 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
