Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming trees and shrubs to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, edging, aerating, and other landscaping activities
- Assist with installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other construction elements
- Conduct lawn care routines including fertilizing, aerating, overseeding, and weed control to promote lush turf health
- Manage irrigation systems—installing, repairing, and maintaining sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible
- Perform routine landscape maintenance including planting flowers or shrubs, mulching beds, and performing seasonal cleanup
- Engage in tree care activities like trimming, pruning, or removal with proper safety procedures in place
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and equipment after each project
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as mowers or trimmers
- Basic understanding of horticulture principles and landscape maintenance practices
- Experience with lawn care routines including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and weed control
- Familiarity with landscape construction techniques and hardscape installation preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair is desirable
- Strong work ethic with physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to safety protocols when handling tools or operating machinery
- Valid driver’s license preferred; ability to obtain necessary certifications for equipment operation if required
