What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMO Structurer position at Cabrera Capital?
The candidate will join our structured products team as Head Structurer. Candidate must be proficient in the STRU function on Bloomberg as well as the YieldBook structuring tool. It is preferred that the structurer have institutional account relationships as well as dealer relationships. This is a commission-based position. Candidate will receive an equal portion of all profits when involved in a trade.

- Provide liquidity in MBS TBA
- Structure new issue CMOs
- Participate in new issue ABS deals
- Participate in new issue agency CMBS and DUS TBA
- Active in all aspects of SP secondary trading
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Finance, Financial Engineering, or similar) preferred.
- 3–8 years of experience in structured products.
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 required (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Structure and design cmo and other structured products transactions.
- Work closely with sales and trading teams to create tailored structured products that align with investor demand and market conditions.
- Support transaction execution and pricing analysis.
- Analyze market trends, mortgage performance data, and investor appetite to inform structuring strategies.
- Assist in preparing client-facing materials, including pitch books, transaction summaries, and investment analysis.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and internal risk guidelines.
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, and operations teams to finalize transactions.
- Provide post-issuance analytics and performance monitoring of structured products.
- Make structuring recommendations that directly impact transaction profitability and risk profile.
- Exercise independent judgment in model development, scenario analysis, and product design.
- Influence product strategy through market insight and investor feedback.
- Strong understanding of CMOs, MBS, ABS, and structured finance products.
- Advanced financial modeling skills; experience with Yieldbook, Bloomberg, and Excel strongly preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
- Deep understanding of mortgage prepayment models, yield analysis, and risk metrics.
- Ability to translate complex financial structures into clear explanations for clients and internal teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.

Salary : $200,000 - $600,000
