Position Overview
The Retail Attendant will assist the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professionals with oversight of day-to-day golf shop operations including but not limited to meeting and greeting guests, checking in of golf guests, merchandise inventory display and sales, answering the phone, and working with Food and Beverage team to offer the best guest experience imaginable. The Retail Attendant reports to the Head Golf Professional.
Essential Functions

- Provide guest service using the highest of standards.
- Manage the golf shop counter, including greeting and checking in guests.
- Help keep the golf shop attractive, neat and clean.
- Sell merchandise to guests.
- Assist in the organization of merchandise and displays.
- Assist in receiving and pricing of merchandise.
- Assist in the regular inventories of merchandise.
- Assist with inventory controls and sales records.
- Keep well versed in daily operations of the golf shop.
- Assist guest service team in communications of guest requests.
- Telephone guests to confirm tee times for the following day.
- Mail outgoing items as needed.
Requirements
- High school education or above.
- Experience in the golf industry and an understanding of the game of golf is important.
In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:
- Must possess a high ability to interact with people.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Outgoing personality, personable and well groomed.
- Must possess the ability to do multiple tasks promptly and efficiently.

Physical Demands
- Ability to visually inspect golf carts, golf clubs, and outside operations area for cleanliness
- Ability to perform moderate physical work, may be required to lift 100 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly, performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting
Work Environment
This position's daily routine will take place indoors. However, the position may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions in performing the duties of the job.
