Position Overview
The Assistant Golf Professional assists the Head Golf Professional in all aspects of day-to-day operations, including golf, retail, and special events/tournaments.
Essential Functions

Initiate and promote golf activities for guests.

Provide exceptional customer services in every guest interaction.

Advise guests regarding tee times, course conditions, and other golf activities.

Meet requirements for sales, rentals, and services as directed by the Assistant or Head Golf Professional.

Work with Food & Beverage and Guest Service teams to create a seamless guest experience.

Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean golf shop, including front of shop and inventory.

Assist with receiving, pricing, and selling merchandise.

Assist with ordering merchandise and shop supplies as necessary for stock, special orders, and special events.

Assist with special golf events, such as tournaments, as directed by the Head Golf Professional.

Teach and conduct golf clinics as needed.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Excellent customer service skills
-
Experienced and passionate about the game of golf
In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
-
2 years in the golf and/or hospitality industry
-
PGA membership

Physical Demands

Ability to visually inspect golf shop and indoor operations area for cleanliness

Ability to perform moderate physical work, may be required to lift 100 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly, performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting
Work Environment
This position will be regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions in performing the duties of the job.
