Job Summary:
Assists with the implementation, maintenance, and support of our growing network infrastructure.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspects and installs network equipment and new technologies.
- Commissions new points of presence, including cabinets, racks, AC and/or DC power systems, connectivity, and network and other electronic equipment.
- Diagnoses and resolves onsite malfunctions.
- Ensures proper maintenance of onsite equipment.
- Troubleshoots fiber optic connectivity issues following industry best practices.
- Works independently to complete projects to specification and on schedule.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of related field experience or related experience with the following:
- One or more Network Operating System CLI, i.e., Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, etc.
- Optical networks and related components, tools, and procedures.
- Telecommunications AC and DC power systems.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to respond to the needs of a 24/7/365 operation.

Physical Demands:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision depth perception, and ability to focus.
