Cable Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cable Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various cable systems, including electrical wiring, telecommunications, and electronic components. Duties

• Install and configure electrical cables, wiring harnesses, and electronic components following detailed blueprints and schematics
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprint specifications accurately to guide installation and troubleshooting processes
• Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other precision instruments to assemble, test, and repair electrical panels and electro-mechanical components
• Perform surface mount technology (SMT) assembly on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using soldering techniques compliant with IPC 610 standards
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues within cable systems or electronic assemblies through engineering troubleshooting methods
• Build electrical panels by following detailed wiring diagrams and schematics while adhering to safety standards
• Conduct quality inspections of assemblies using IPC 610 standards for electrical assembly quality assurance
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including test results, schematic revisions, and assembly records

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electronics assembly, electrical wiring, or related manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of PCB design principles, surface mount technology (SMT), and soldering techniques
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electro-mechanical components is a plus
• Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, calipers, multimeters (ohmmeters), and power tools for assembly tasks
• Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes is advantageous for component fitting and system integration
• Experience with electrical panel building, wiring harnesses, or cable installation projects preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical or mechanical issues efficiently
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards in all aspects of work

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
