Position Summary
Cable Dahmer Kia in Lee’s Summit is seeking a results-driven Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned department. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep market knowledge, and a proven ability to drive volume while maintaining process and profitability. This role plays a key part in optimizing inventory, ensuring reconditioning excellence, and coaching a motivated sales team to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all used car operations, including appraisals, inventory management, acquisitions, and retail performance.
- Develop and execute sourcing, pricing, and merchandising strategies based on market trends.
- Partner closely with the service and reconditioning departments to ensure all vehicles meet Cable Dahmer quality standards.
- Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to achieve performance goals while maintaining a positive, customer-first culture.
- Utilize data and key performance metrics to make informed decisions that drive growth and profitability.
- Build strong relationships with customers and community partners to promote long-term loyalty and dealership visibility.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of automotive management experience, preferably in used car operations.
- Proven track record of growing sales volume and maintaining healthy gross margins.
- Strong understanding of market pricing, inventory turn, and reconditioning processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
