Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, NDAs, employment contracts, and licensing deals.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Provide legal counsel on contract disputes, enforcement, and terminations.
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders across HR, finance, operations, and executive teams.
- Proactively identify legal risks and mitigation strategies.
- Maintain contract lifecycle documentation and ensure timely renewals and updates.
- Stay current on legal trends and regulatory changes affecting the automotive industry and corporate law
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice in Missouri and Kansas (or ability to obtain Kansas licensure).
- 2–4 years of experience in contract law, preferably in an in-house or corporate setting.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to advise both legal and non-legal team members.
- Experience using legal research tools or contract management software is a plus.
