Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including assembling food items and managing inventory levels
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry with a strong focus on coffee preparation and serving
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality standards
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced café environment while maintaining attention to detail
