Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cabinet Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating innovative and functional cabinetry solutions that meet client specifications and aesthetic preferences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from residential remodels to commercial renovations, utilizing advanced design software and collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and project managers. The Cabinet Designer will play a key role in transforming spaces through expert design, drafting, and project management skills.

Duties

  • Develop detailed cabinet designs using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Create accurate technical drawings and 3D renderings that align with client needs and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and functional requirements for cabinetry and related interior elements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure designs are feasible within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Prepare detailed plans for remodeling, renovation, lighting design, and construction projects involving cabinetry.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Assist in selecting materials, finishes, colors (applying color theory), and hardware that complement overall interior design concepts.
  • Review contracts, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Support sales efforts by presenting design proposals to clients and providing expert advice on cabinetry solutions.

Skills

  • Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and InDesign), 3ds Max or similar rendering software.
  • Strong drafting skills with an understanding of CAD standards for cabinetry and interior design projects.
  • Knowledge of color theory, lighting sales, lighting design, remodeling, renovation processes, construction practices, and budgeting principles.
  • Experience in project management including scheduling, resource allocation, and client communication.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and architectural plans accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members effectively.
  • Familiarity with contracts related to interior design projects as well as sales techniques for presenting proposals. This position is ideal for creative professionals passionate about interior design and cabinetry who thrive in a collaborative environment that values innovation and precision.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
