Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Manager located in Ashland, OH. The Production Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency and quality. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, coordinating with the procurement team, supervising production staff, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Production Manager will also be involved in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure production schedules are executed.
- Manage production hours in relationship to revenue.
- Manage day-to-day operations of facility production to maximize output.
- Continually drive improvement in a lean manufacturing environment, implement continuous improvement initiatives and drive standard work across all areas within production.
- Drive maintenance and reliability initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Promote and support the safe operation of each department.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with employees across the organization to ensure seamless business execution, reinforce positive morale, and uphold company values.
- Act as a role model to others and lead change.
- Coach, train, mentor, and develop hourly operations employees, ensuring regular feedback is provided.
- Other responsibilities as required by senior leadership.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Demonstrated experience in a growing manufacturing environment preferred
- Must be responsible, dependable, honest, and ethical
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with the direct labor force effectively
- Leadership experience and demonstrated ability to lead, coach and build relationships while effectively managing boundaries
- Ability to prioritize, focus on, and obtain business results
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Decisive and hands-on
- Experience in the development and implementation of strategic business planning
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
