The APP (Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant) provides high quality and cost effective medical management of patients under the direction of the hospitalist physician as privileged by the medical center and within its stated scope of practice. The hospitalist physician extender collaborates with the hospitalist care team to coordinate and manage the process of patient care from the point of admission to the medical center through discharge.
