What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Procedures X-ray Tech position at Cabell Huntington Hospital/St. Mary?
Cabell Huntington Hospital seeks a casual, as needed Special Procedures X-ray Tech to work in Interventional Radiology.
Under the direction of the IR Supervisor, the IR Technologist:
- Is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all IR activities at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
- Ensures the quality of services rendered is acceptable.
- Confirms orders, documents, medical necessity, and pre-authorization on all IR orders.
- Assists with/performing variety of radiology diagnostic examinations to include fluoroscopy, interventional procedures under image guidance, facilitating inpatient and outpatient consultation and post procedural follow-up.
- Provides radiologic care to patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.
- Operates IR and CT equipment to perform clinical diagnostic procedures as directed.
Qualifications:
Junior College or Associates Degree required
ARRT certification required
WVSRT certification required
CPR certification required
IR or CT certification preferred
One year of experience preferred
