Senior Product Engineer
$205k – $235k Equity | NY
A high-growth YC-backed startup is looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join their founding team in New York City.
Backed by Y Combinator and top investors, this startup is building the operating system for a trillion-dollar industry still running on spreadsheets and paper processes. They’ve grown 7x in the past year and are now hiring a product-driven software engineer to help lead their next wave of growth.
The current team comes from Instagram, Cash App, PagerDuty, and Foraged- a small, highly-talented group working in-person in NYC.
Role
The Senior Product Engineer will:
- Own the product end-to-end: customer conversations → UI sketches → code → QA → ship.
- Influence not just the code, but the direction of the business.
- Lead key strategic initiatives that can reshape the industry.
- Ship quickly, with an obsession for craft and user experience.
Ideally
- 7–15 years engineering experience.
- Big Tech pedigree (FAANG-level or equivalent scale).
- Startup experience (Seed–Series B, hands-on execution).
- Strong product mindset- cares as much about UX as technical design.
- Owner’s mentality- makes tradeoffs like a founder would.
- Collaborative and energised by small, high-calibre teams.
Candidates with backgrounds limited to consulting, solutions engineering, or support roles will not be considered.
