Position: Forklift Operator
Location: St. Louis, MO
Duration: 12 Months
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. The operator will be responsible for loading, unloading, transporting, and storing materials while maintaining a safe and organized work area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and warehouse shipments.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, pallets, and other inventory.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory and material movement records.
- Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times.
- Keep warehouse and work areas clean and organized.
- Assist with picking, packing, and general warehouse activities when required.
- Ensure materials are properly secured during movement.
- Work effectively with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and production teams.
Requirements:
- Previous forklift/material-handling experience preferred.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
