Your role at Clorox: This role would take leadership of: materials management, inventory control, material handlers, shipper/receivers & daily materials movement in house and external. Co-ordinate closely with the operations, finance & maintenance groups, manage shipments & coordinate drivers between facilities. Analyze data to asses performance, discover logistical problems and devise plans for improvements. This role will manage 8 direct reports. In this role, you will: Work with corporate partners to negotiate contracts Prepare paperwork for regulatory bodies Liaising with and managing staff and shifts Manage waste for department Warehouse operations, including people management, safety, quality, scheduling shipments, etc. Ensure health & safety standards are met for department – conduct regular safety audits Develop logistics and supply chain efficiency and growth Research & monitor and suggest cost-effective shipping carriers Meet cost, productivity and accuracy of targets through KPI’s Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements Assist with annual budgeting for department expenses and capital expenditures Manage daily operations maintaining company standards and peak efficiency Ensure the velocity, storage, product placement are all done in a timely and effective safe manner Work closely with the inventory control team to coordinate product movement, warehouse slotting changes and product rotation process Manage the incoming material and outgoing product shipment activities Manage all aspects of the plant’s inventory including the annual physical and on-going cycle counting process to maintain appropriate stocking levels Administration of customs related activities for import and export of all materials Implement and improve the utilization of the MRP system within the company Report on incoming materials and outgoing shipments and maintaining the data Foster a cooperative & positive team culture in the facility Lead continuous improvement activities as required Complete performance reviews and follow ups for all direct reports (8 direct reports) What we look for: 5 years in supervisory leadership role Detailed knowledge of warehouse management systems Strong communication skills both written and verbal Proven leadership track record Ability to manage conflict and resolution management Ability to work shift work as required Post secondary education in logistics, warehouse management, business, engineering or MBA We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences.
