Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Process Piping Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with process piping systems for industrial and mechanical construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure project budgets are precise, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. Duties

• Review and interpret complex construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications related to process piping systems.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and other construction management tools to develop detailed cost estimates for piping materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Estimate material requirements from blueprints and technical drawings, ensuring accuracy in quantities and specifications.
• Conduct thorough cost analysis including material costs, labor hours, equipment needs, and potential contingencies to create comprehensive project budgets.
• Manage project estimates by negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to review bids, clarify scope details, and refine estimates for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare detailed spreadsheets using Microsoft Office tools to organize data, track costs, and monitor budget adherence throughout project phases.
• Review construction contracts and manage change orders effectively to control costs without compromising project scope or quality.
• Support project management teams by providing accurate cost control data and assisting in the development of project schedules aligned with budget forecasts.
• Ensure all estimating activities comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.

Experience

• Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry.
• Strong background in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate or similar tools.
• Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and reviewing construction documents related to process piping systems.
• Demonstrated ability in cost management including material cost estimating, pricing strategies, and budget estimation for large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with construction management software platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Hands-on construction site experience coupled with understanding of construction site safety protocols is highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation skills for securing favorable pricing from vendors while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with cross-functional teams involved in project delivery.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
