Job Description and Duties
Do you like books and historic documents? Are you interested in helping to preserve California's history? Then this might be the job for you! Under direction of the Museum Curator III over the Preservation unit, the incumbent performs the duties of preserving the library's collections by creating archival housing for collections, performing basic book repair and paper repair, and creating exhibit mounts and supports for displaying books, paintings, photographs, and other archival material. The main focus of this position is to aid in the preservation of the California State Library's unique and diverse collections.

Preservation Section is responsible for the long term care, preservation and conservation of the California State Library's collections.
