Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: SAMF Mammographer - PD Extra Staffing Reporting to the SAMF Manager OP Imaging Center, SAMF OP Imaging Center, this position is responsible for performing routine and specialized Mammographic and Breast Ultrasonic examinations/procedures/interventional breast procedures; and providing patient care and radiologist assistance during the performance of those examinations/procedures. Requirements: 1. High School diploma or the equivalent is required. 2. Current CRT certification in Radiology and Mammography in the State of California is required. 3. Must meet the MQSA required qualifications for digital and 3D Mammography. 4. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required. 5. Advanced ARRT in Mammography is preferred. 6. ACR staff qualifications for Stereotactic Breast Biopsy and Breast Ultrasound Biopsy is preferred. 7. Recent Mammography/Breast Ultrasound/Interventional Breast experience is required. 8. Thorough knowledge and understanding of breast anatomy and pathological process, Mammography QC and the practical application of that knowledge is required. 9. Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating the quality of screening/diagnostic mammography examinations, breast ultrasound examination, specialized breast examinations/procedures/biopsies, and PACS (Picture Archiving Communication System) examinations/procedures is required. 10. Ability to relate in a professional manner to patients, physicians, the public and other health care providers, demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service orientation is required. 11. Active participation as a resource to all Breast Center staff is required.
