What our Corporate Actions Analysts do: This Corporate Actions Analyst is a part of our Operations Team in Toronto. They are proactive self-starters who work to resolve problems. They have exemplary attention to detail skills and are excellent communicators, especially with their peers, management and external parties. Our Corporate Actions Analysts are team players, as they work seamlessly within our direct team and across the wider global Investment Operations and FNZ family. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Processing mandatory and voluntary corporate actions on Managed Funds, Equities, and Fixed Interest products within Key Performance Indicator targets. Sourcing all relevant information from fund managers, data feeds, Bloomberg, custodian agents, or relevant registry/company websites to ensure corporate actions are processed correctly. Maintaining internal stock and cash ledger control accounts and clearing them daily. Reconciling client holdings versus agent holding to ensure they match during a corporate action. Competencies identified to perform the role effectively include (but not exclusive to): Proven Time Management and Planning skills. Complete tasks accurately, completely, and to agreed deadlines/ targets (KPIs) according to the standards and procedures outlined. Ensures that outputs meet required standards and the needs of internal and external clients Information Sharing/ Teamwork Excellent team player assisting colleagues when necessary Demonstrate a willingness to take on team tasks and responsibilities Approach all tasks with drive and enthusiasm High standard of record keeping Ensure increased efficiencies with the team operating off the same, up-to-date, information Ownership and Responsibility Demonstrates personal accountability by flagging errors to the Team Manager and taking corrective action promptly. Escalates issues promptly and responds positively to feedback Experience required At least 2 years of experience within Corporate Actions, Wealth Management, platform, banking or other relevant industry. Knowledge of SQL and Excel for data analysis. Able to demonstrate knowledge of US and Canada regulations. Degree in relevant field. Proposition knowledge of the platform industry, from Retail Client to Asset Servicing delivery. Understand risk/compliance policies and processes for a financial services business.
