Position Summary
C5T is seeking a Mission Assurance Analyst to join a multi-disciplinary action research team supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory and USTRANSCOM. The analyst will integrate mission assurance principles with ongoing research initiatives, providing operational insight and evidence-based recommendations.
Location: Scott Air Force Base, IL (USTRANSCOM HQ). Primarily in government workspaces, with some time in company offices and occasional telework.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing mission assurance procedures to identify enhancement opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working groups with HQ staff and component commands.
- Coordinate with interagency and coalition partners to identify leading practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and conduct improvement efforts.
- Maintain familiarity with DoD and USTRANSCOM mission assurance policies.
- Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
- Document activities in accordance with program requirements
- Contribute to after-action reviews and lessons learned.
- Prepare concise, high-quality briefings and reports for senior leaders.
- Ensure analyses comply with classification and security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or Associate's with 5 years experience).
- Understanding of mission assurance concepts, risk management frameworks, and operational planning principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills for a joint headquarters environment.
- Strong critical and systems thinking skills.
- Effective writing and briefing skills.
- Ability to engage senior leaders in conceptual discussions of operational concepts or processes.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities in dynamic settings.
- Familiarity with DoD writing styles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Ability to appropriately protect sensitive information.
- Ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance.
- S. citizenship.
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of current USTRANSCOM staff functions.
- Familiarity with process analysis and organizational improvement.
- Current DoD security clearance.
- Experience with JIRA or similar agile project management tools.
