The Opportunity

This role works directly with Department of Defense stakeholders, product owners, business analysts, software engineers, enterprise architects, and government leadership supporting mission-critical enterprise systems. It is an opportunity to lead Agile delivery teams within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment while enabling successful delivery of secure, high-quality software solutions supporting critical national defense missions.

Work is primarily performed on-site at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, supporting government and contractor teams in mission-focused environments.

Position Summary

C5T is seeking an Agile Scrum Master to lead Agile software development teams supporting Department of Defense enterprise modernization initiatives. This position serves as a servant leader responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.

Location: Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Work will primarily take place in government workspaces with limited telework based on mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach and lead Agile teams within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Facilitate Program Increment planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and demonstrations.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to refine priorities.
• Track and remove impediments while coordinating cross-team dependencies.
• Maintain Agile metrics and support continuous improvement.
• Perform capacity planning and iteration planning.
• Coordinate releases and product roadmaps.
• Coach teams to become high-performing Agile teams.
• Develop and improve Agile processes and best practices.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and work allocation for assigned Epics and Features.
• Support software quality, schedule, and delivery objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least seven years of related experience.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified SAFe Scrum Master.
• Minimum three years leading Agile Scrum or Scaled Agile Framework teams.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, configuration management, quality assurance, and release management.
• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and leadership skills.
• United States Citizenship and ability to pass an Information Technology Level I background investigation.

Desired Qualifications

• SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner, or other SAFe certification.
• Experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite Federal Financial Management programs for the Department of Defense.
• Experience with information exchanges or data warehouses.
• Experience with test automation.
• Knowledge of Building Security In Maturity Model (BSIMM).
• Experience supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Salary : $85,000 - $97,000
