As a Contract Mail Carrier, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages to designated routes. Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes.
- Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking any undelivered items.
- Load and unload mail and packages.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from recipients during delivery.
- Follow established routes while being adaptable to changes in delivery schedules or routes as required.
- Assist in moving items within the warehouse or distribution center when not on delivery routes.
Skills
- Proficient in driving various types of vehicles.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
