Essential Functions
- Manages the daily operations of the child care program, to ensure quality customer service, efficient and effective service delivery, and the best use of resources to achieve expected outcomes.
- Develops and maintains current local operating procedures.
- Monitors the compliance of Child Care Services (CCS) Policies and Procedures.
- Monitors and assists with the implementation of contract goals and objectives.
- Monitors and implements actions to meet designed plans.
- Responsible for effective communication and administration of policies, procedures, and staff development.
- Develop, implement, and monitor systems to ensure accountability in the documentation, tracking and data entering of the program.
- Coordinates professional development opportunities to encourage growth and success.
- Monitors staff performance levels and develops corrective plans as necessary to meet program requirements and system goals.
- Prepares disciplinary action documents (corrective actions, performance improvement plans, etc.) timely for review by the Deputy Director, Child Care Services and Human Resources.
- Forms part of an Informal Appeals Committee to review the denial of child care services and decide if an oversight was made when determining eligibility that changed the outcome of the case.
- Monitors staff levels.
- Reports cases of suspected fraud or misuse of services to the Deputy Director, Child Care Services.
- Creates a positive work environment and maintains open door policy with staff.
- The position is in the Workforce Solutions service delivery area. A Manager, Child Care Solutions (Direct Care) must be able to relocate anywhere in the service delivery area.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
