What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmworkers & Laborers, Crop, Nursery, Greenhouse position at C2 Farms?
We are a 1700 acre row crop farm consisting mainly of corn and soybeans with furrow irrigation. We utilize mainly John Deere equipment for planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting the crop. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc., attach/detach implements, be able to handle working in high humidity with polypipe, clean work areas, load crops or inputs and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities, load and unload materials and commodities, maintain grounds and landscaping, operate self propelled machinery, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment, use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crow bars, air tools, and electric tools, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, irrigation equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, sprayers, spreaders, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, soybeans. Speak and understand English. Approximate staggered entry: 1 worker to begin April 2 and 1 workers to begin Aug 12.
