Role Description: Part-Time SAT/AP STEM Tutor will provide in-person instruction to high school students in subjects such as SAT Math, AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, and related STEM courses. This is a Part-time on-site role based at the C2 Education center in Spring, TX, where the tutor will deliver small-group and one-on-one lessons aligned with C2’s curriculum and testing strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, assigning and reviewing practice work, monitoring student progress, and adjusting instruction based on performance data. The tutor will collaborate with center staff to support student goals and maintain accurate records of sessions and outcomes. The role also involves staying current on SAT and AP exam formats, standards, and best practices to ensure effective preparation for each student.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret student performance data and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Ability to organize and explain concepts clearly, including basic expense reports and quantitative reasoning, to support students’ academic understanding.
- Demonstrated proficiency in STEM subjects relevant to SAT Math and AP-level courses (e.g., calculus, algebra, statistics, physics, and chemistry).
- Experience tutoring or teaching high school students, preferably in SAT, ACT, and AP exam preparation.
- Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in a STEM field, education, or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with a collaborative, student-centered approach.
- Ability to work on-site in Spring, TX, with a flexible part-time schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
