What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at C1S Group, Inc.?

Safety Manager

Who We Are: C1S Group is a construction and engineering firm based in Dallas, Texas with projects across the US. Since 2001, we've been designing and building facilities to improve the built environment. We are a family of construction and engineering professionals that provide construction management, field supervision, engineering design, and sustainability services to commercial and manufacturing facility owners. We are proud to have installed projects for Fortune 500 companies in the food & beverage, aerospace & defense, life science, and technology industries. We are experts in our space, and our clients choose us because we stand by our work and deliver value every step of the way. This value driven relationship is what we're all about.

C1S has been ranked in Outside Magazine's List of the 50 Best Places to Work in America for 11 years, and most recently, Dallas Business Journal’s Top 100 Best Places to Work, because we put our people first. If we take care of our folks and make sure they’re doing what they love, they’ll take great care of our clients. This strategy has delivered exceptional results for 24 years. If this sounds good to you, come join us. You can also check out our website to learn more about what makes us different from other GCs: www.c1sinc.com [for job boards other than C1S Careers]

The Difference You Will Make: Because “Measure Twice, Don’t Fall Once” is kind of our thing. At C1S, we build amazing things, and we like to keep all our people intact while doing it. That’s where you come in. We’re on the hunt for a Safety Manager who eats, sleeps, and breathes all things OSHA (and maybe dreams in hard hats).

You’ll be our safety superhero; ensuring compliance, coaching teams, and spreading the good word about egress routes, PPE, and the fine art of not tripping over your own success.

What You’ll Do (Besides Look Great in a Safety Vest):

  • Lead the charge on safety programs, policies, and procedures — because “winging it” is not a safety plan.
  • Stay on top of OSHA, EAP, and all those alphabet-soup regulations that keep us in good standing (and out of trouble).
  • Partner with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Leadership to build a strong, positive safety culture.
  • Conduct site audits, lead training, and keep those incident logs tighter than a well-fitted hard hat.
  • Manage emergency response plans, training sessions, and even the occasional OSHA audit (no pressure).
  • Order PPE — because looking sharp and staying safe are not mutually exclusive.

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years in construction, with at least 3 of them keeping everyone safe and sound.
  • OSHA 500 certification (your golden ticket).
  • A knack for teaching, leading, and inspiring safety buy-in from everyone on site.
  • Strong Microsoft Office communication skills
  • The ability to spot a hazard before it spots you.

Why You’ll Love It Here

At C1S, we take our work seriously — but not ourselves. You’ll join a team that believes in collaboration, doing great work, and going home in one piece every day. (It’s a low bar, but an important one.)

So, if you’re ready to turn safety from “checklist” to “culture,” throw on that reflective vest and click Send us your resume now.

Let’s build great things — safely, of course.
