Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus 8111 S Emerson Ave Indianapolis, Indiana 46237 WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Franciscan Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to meet the growing demand for Bone Marrow Transplant services at Indiana Blood & Marrow Transplantation located at the Franciscan Cancer Center in Indianapolis, IN. APP will be joining an established, collegial team of three physicians and two APPs. Indiana Blood & Marrow Transplantation (IBMT) program is one of only two FACT accredited programs in the State of Indiana performing over 100 transplants a year. The program offers both Allogeneic & Autologous transplants as well as cellular therapy for hematological malignancies including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma as well as autoimmune disorders. IBMT is a National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) collection center for Bone Marrow & Peripheral Blood Stem Cells. There is a Stem Cell processing laboratory on site. The program has both inpatient and outpatient services. Immune Effector Cell Therapies and Clinical Research are also part of the program. WHAT WE NEED: Bone Marrow Transplant, Hematology and/or Oncology experience preferred, but not required. Ideal candidate would thrive in a fast-paced environment and be team oriented. The candidate will need to work collaboratively with physician to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. Candidate should have a desire to develop exemplary professional relationships with patients and the community in which they serve. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: Flexible 5-day work week full-time schedule Experience in bone aspiration and biopsy preferred, but not required. Training will be provided Providers rotate every two weeks covering the BMT inpatient and outpatient services APP would rotate every 2 - 3 weeks from inpatient to outpatient working with the providers APP would have 2 - 3 week inpatient rotations and 2 - 3 week outpatient rotations that alternate with the other APPs Inpatient primary responsibilities: Evaluate and manage assigned patients under supervision of a physician on the BMT service Assist in obtaining medical consults and performing procedures Outpatient primary responsibilities: Management of routine follow up visits for patients with hematologic malignancies and post-transplant visits under direct physician supervision New patients are seen by MD Average outpatient volume: 8 - 10 patients per day Average inpatient volume: 8 -10 patients per day Excellent clinical support and equipment are present in the inpatient unit and outpatient clinic Apheresis capabilities Stem cell manipulation Multi-specialty support including dedicated hematopatholigists 17 bed inpatient BMT dedicated unit and the outpatient clinic is in the cancer center, which is a different building, but not sure how relevant that would be to include. is in the same building as the outpatient clinic Onsite apheresis unit and a robust well-established clinic trial program WHO WE ARE: Franciscan Health is a non-profit health care ministry with primary and specialty care physician groups located throughout Indiana and Illinois.
