Critical Care Transport Paramedic (Crown Point)

Franciscan Health Crown Point 12750 S Francis Dr Crown Point, Indiana 46307 The Critical Care Transport Paramedic is responsible to provide direct patient care to patients, requiring interfacility transport from primary or critical access hospitals to tertiary care hospitals, and providing urgent procedures or admission to intensive care centers. The Critical Care Transport Paramedic participates in trainings, clinical rotations, and all education needed to perform their role effectively. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Assist with cleaning, stocking, and maintaining supplies and equipment. Assist with the management of the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) program. Communicate and act as a liaison between the patient, family physician, and other agencies, as required. Perform Basic and Advanced Life Support pre-hospital assessment and care. Perform tasks in the pre-hospital setting under the control of the Medical Director. Provide orderly transfer of patient care to receiving facility staff. Responsible for assigned ambulance, equipment, and supplies during a shift, as well as security of all equipment and supplies, including but not limited to scheduled and non-scheduled medications.
