Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus 8111 S Emerson Ave Indianapolis, Indiana 46237 The Speech Language Pathologist I provides evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. This position evaluates and implements a plan of care for the provision of comprehensive speech and language services for individuals exhibiting dysfunction in the areas of speech and/or language. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Performs comprehensive speech therapy evaluations, treatment and related follow-up services, including discharge planning. Develops a treatment plan with measurable goals based on patient assessment. Completes appropriate goal re-assessment and discharge planning. Provides speech therapy, including selection and use of assistive equipment. Trains and educates patients and family members or other support, and documents understanding of treatment plan and goals. Documents and submits patient reports and charges within the established timeframe. Collaborates with patient and other healthcare personnel or outside agencies regarding coordination of care. Supervises Rehab Technicians.
