C3 WEALTH MANAGEMENT Investment Analyst / Associate Portfolio Manager c3wm.nm.com

COMPANY DESCRIPTION C3 Wealth Management provides our clients the confidence and security to help them achieve financial independence and fulfill their purpose. Our nationally recognized team serves as a financial partner, providing comprehensive and collaborative financial planning strategies to address the unique objectives and challenges of our clients. Our focus on client well-being—paired with sound investment portfolios, disciplined risk management techniques, and effective tax and estate planning tools—places us at the forefront of our profession.

OVERALL FUNCTION The Investment Analyst / Associate Portfolio Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the firm's advisory client portfolios. You'll monitor a large and growing book of accounts, spot trends and issues early, and keep every portfolio aligned with both firm models and each household's goals and circumstances. A core part of the role is making portfolios cleaner, simpler and more efficient while working through the many account types and household structures we serve. You'll also execute trades, support advisors and produce research. Over time, the role builds toward designing customized investment strategies for new and existing clients. This person will report to the Chief Investment Officer and the Director of Planning & Wealth.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investment Strategy Implementation: Carry out and implement the firm's investment initiatives under the direction of the Chief Investment Officer and Director of Planning & Wealth, turning investment decisions into action across all client portfolios.
  • Ongoing Portfolio Oversight: Monitor the firm's advisory accounts every day. Identify trends, patterns and outliers across the book, such as allocation drift, excess cash, concentrated positions and holdings that no longer fit a client's strategy, and act on them before they become problems.
  • Portfolio Efficiency & Simplification: Reduce clutter and complexity across client portfolios by consolidating legacy and redundant holdings and streamlining positions. Coordinate investments across each household's accounts so they work together efficiently, while respecting tax considerations, account structures and each client's goals, preferences and circumstances.
  • Trading, Rebalancing & Model Implementation: Work with the trading team to process contributions and withdrawals, invest new cash over time, and carry out tax-loss harvesting trades. Keep accounts aligned with the firm's model portfolios through regular and quarterly rebalancing, and roll out firm-wide model changes, adjusting for each client's tax situation, account type and strategy.
  • Investment Write-Ups & Takeover Analysis: Prepare investment write-ups. Analyze the existing portfolios of prospective and new clients, including holdings, costs, embedded gains and overlap, to recommend a tax-efficient transition plan.
  • Advisor & Client Support: Serve as an investment resource for advisors and clients. Provide clear, well-supported answers to ad hoc questions on positions, performance, tax impact and portfolio changes, and join client and prospect meetings as needed.
  • Research & Due Diligence: Research and monitor the funds, ETFs and individual securities on the firm's approved investment list, using Bloomberg, Morningstar and YCharts for portfolio analytics, screening and fund research.
  • Custom Portfolio Construction: Help design customized portfolios for clients with unique needs, such as concentrated stock positions, tax constraints or specific preferences, and document each client's investment plan.
  • Reporting & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate portfolio data, and help build reporting and monitoring tools that make it easier to oversee client portfolios at scale.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Take part in internal investment committee discussions and case reviews, and keep research and process documentation organized for the team.
