What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial Supervisor - 2nd Shift position at C&W Services?
The Janitorial Supervisor reports to the Senior Operations Manager and works under the direction of the Account Manager or Account Director. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide overall direction, coordination, and supervision of janitorial personnel across assigned shifts and buildings
- Supervise daily operations to ensure services are performed as contracted and meet or exceed customer specifications
- Assist in managing project activities and overseeing assigned janitorial crews
- Coordinate staffing, work schedules, and assignments; prepare and submit weekly payroll time sheets
- Establish and maintain work performance and quality standards
- Conduct routine site inspections, quality assurance checks, and facility audits
- Manage inventory, materials, and equipment usage, including key control procedures
- Address and resolve on-site service delivery issues, employee concerns, and customer inquiries
- Support snow removal services as required (seasonal)
- Lead orientation and onboarding of new employees; provide ongoing training, coaching, and development
- Participate in safety programs, safety committees, and required management or technical training
- Oversee conference room setups and assist with internal moves or special projects as needed
- Maintain effective and professional client relationships through regular communication
- Perform employee evaluations, troubleshooting, and corrective actions as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support site and account objectives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One to three (1–3) years of supervisory experience in janitorial or facility services
- Working knowledge of cleaning methods, procedures, equipment, and safety standards
- Ability to manage schedules, inventory, payroll, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and clients
- Fluent in English and Spanish preferred/required
- Motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented leadership style
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required for operational support
