Duties
- Set up event spaces efficiently by arranging furniture, equipment, signage, and decorations according to event specifications
- Break down and clean up after events, ensuring all areas are restored to original condition
- Perform detailed cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and surface disinfecting across various facility areas
- Conduct floor care procedures such as buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to maintain pristine flooring surfaces
- Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Perform routine custodial maintenance including restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and general facility upkeep
- Support facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work or janitorial services within commercial or residential settings
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing and polishing floors
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, bending, and climbing ladders
- Prior experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties is preferred
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently during evening shifts
