EDI Lead

Core W2 role based in Houston and will require someone to come onsite 5x a week. This will be a 1-3 month contract depending on how long it takes for this person to work through the solution that is being built. Please read through the description below.

Position Title: EDI Transformation Tech Lead

Location: Houston, TX  77396 - 100% Onsite

Term: TBD- Could be 1-3 months depending on solution that is being built

Reason for Opening:

The client’s existing EDI solution was developed using middleware and a C# backend. Over the past decade, the organization has become heavily reliant on C# and .NET for API development, creating a single point of dependency within the team. This poses a significant risk to scalability and modernization efforts.

To address this, the client seeks to rebuild the current EDI system using modern, cutting-edge technologies such as React, JavaScript, and GoLang. The goal is to reduce dependency on legacy frameworks and introduce a more flexible, future-ready architecture.

TOP SKILLS:

·         EDI Expertise (Rosetta Stone)

·         Legacy to Modern Migration: Ability to convert older C#/.NET-based systems into modern frameworks. Using the below modern Tech Stack:

·         React.js

·         Node.js

·         JavaScript/Typescript

·         GoLang

·         Ruby on Rails

·         Infrastructure Modernization: Experience addressing outdated infrastructure and transforming backend architecture.

·         SAP/Ariba Experience:  Preferred for integration knowledge.

·         Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

·         API experience

Ideal Profile:

·         Early-career professional with strong exposure to modern technologies and willingness to innovate.

·         Experienced EDI specialist who has recently transitioned to working with cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

·         Lead the transformation of the existing EDI solution from C#/.NET to modern technologies (React, JavaScript, Node.js, GoLang).

·         Collaborate with CIO and Tech Lead to define technical approach and execution strategy.

·         Ensure seamless migration while maintaining EDI functionality and compliance.

·         Modernize backend architecture to support scalability and future integrations.

·         Provide hands-on development and technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
