Volunteer & Event Coordinator

C-U at Home is seeking a Part-Time Volunteer & Event Coordinator to help engage volunteers, coordinate events, and connect individuals and community groups with our mission. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, organizing details, building relationships, and creating positive experiences.

This position offers a flexible schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, with some increased hours around major events.

Some evening or weekend availability will be needed for events.

What You'll Do

• Recruit, welcome, train, schedule, and support individual volunteers and volunteer groups
• Help create meaningful opportunities for volunteers to engage with C-U at Home
• Coordinate volunteer schedules and in-kind donations from individuals, churches, businesses, and community groups
• Help recognize and appreciate our volunteers
• Coordinate C-U at Home events and assist with third-party fundraising and awareness events
• Assist with donor and community engagement
• Help communicate C-U at Home's mission and impact
• Work closely with the Executive Director and other team members
• Represent C-U at Home professionally and positively in the community

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is organized, dependable, flexible, welcoming, and comfortable working with a wide variety of people.

Qualifications include:

• Associate's degree in a related field or at least two years of relevant volunteer coordination experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good judgment and the ability to adapt when plans change
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable using Microsoft and Google tools
• Ability to build positive relationships with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds
• Experience working with volunteers, events, nonprofits, or community organizations is a plus
• Experience with or a passion for serving individuals experiencing homelessness is preferred
