About C-U at Home
C-U at Home is a faith-inspired, client-centered organization supporting individuals experiencing
homelessness in Champaign-Urbana. We provide safe shelter, residential programming, and
relational support that helps people move toward stability, healing, and long-term housing.
We are seeking a Director of Residential Services to lead our residential programs, support a
dedicated frontline team, and ensure consistent, high-quality care for our residents.
Position Summary
The Director of Residential Services provides leadership, structure, and oversight for all
residential programming at C-U at Home. This includes supervising the Life Skills Support
Team and Residential/Overnight Support Staff, ensuring client-centered and trauma-informed
support for residents, and maintaining program quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Leadership & Oversight (40%)
? Provide leadership and direction for all residential programming.
? Ensure quality standards and program compliance are met.
? Collaborate with case managers to align residential support with case plans.
? Monitor resident engagement, trends, and overall program needs.
2. Staff Supervision & Team Development (35%)
? Supervise the Life Skills Support Team and Residential/Overnight Support Staff.
? Manage scheduling, staffing coverage, workflow, and communication.
? Provide coaching, training, performance feedback, and accountability.
? Lead regular team meetings and staff evaluations.
3. Volunteer Coordination for Resident Services (15%)
? Coordinate volunteer-led classes, workshops, mentoring, and life-skills activities.
? Work with the Director of Development to recruit, orient, and support volunteers.
? Ensure volunteers follow policies and enhance the resident experience.
4. Operations & Safety (10%)

Qualifications
Required
? Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
? Minimum 3 years in residential services or human services.
? Supervisory or team leadership experience.
? Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
? Ability to remain calm and effective in crisis situations.
? Commitment to trauma-informed, client-centered care.
Preferred
? Experience in homelessness, recovery, or mental health services.
? Volunteer coordination experience.
