This Opportunity

C&T Engineering and Inspection is currently searching for a Full-time Utility Construction Inspector for a large long-term multi-year project in Marshall County TN. The project will consist of inspecting a new raw water line intake, a new above ground 1mg storage tank, new settling basins, a new filter building and underground piping infrastructure at a fully operating potable plant.

What you will do:

· Examine and comprehend construction plans and project documents

· Verify, inspect, observe, and document work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with the contract documents and plans.

· Complete a daily work report capturing onsite contractor(s) labor, equipment, work performed, quantities, photos, issues, etc.

· Capture measurements in the field

· Attend monthly progress meetings onsite

· Review monthly contractor payment applications

· Proficiency in Word, Outlook and Excel

· Ability to use a tablet (I-Pad)

Required Qualifications:

· 5 years of utility construction inspection experience including mainline underground utility, underground transmission mains, and plant construction.

· These 5 years may be substituted with a Construction Management Degree or equivalent.

· Ability to keep accurate records and compute field data.

· Ability to read and interpret construction plans.

· General awareness of construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, process, methods and techniques.

· Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others.

· Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Ability to work independently under supervision.

· Basic proficiency with technical writing and basic computer skills.

· Good communication skills, both oral and written.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
