What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at C & S Machine Products Inc?
SUMMARY
The Material Handler will be responsible to receive in, inspect, store, and maintain material/inventory and subcomponents, transport materials and subcomponents to designated locations, monitor incoming stock, and maintain an organized and clean warehouse.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS AND MEASURABLES
1. Receive in, inspect, and certify material within 5 days of arrival of designated location
2. Stage material and subcomponents for jobs 1 day prior to job’s scheduled start date
PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Forklift Certification
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate to appropriate in-house personnel
MATHMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills necessary. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
Basic measurement skills necessary. Able to measure and count material
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems when they occur.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience in a shipping/receiving environment
Forklift operation
