Responsibilities
- Operate drones safely and efficiently in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and other applicable aviation standards
- Capture high-resolution photography and filming footage for project documentation, inspections, or promotional purposes
- Conduct pre-flight inspections, maintenance, and mechanical checks to ensure drone readiness and safety
- Utilize GIS tools to analyze spatial data collected during flights for mapping, surveying, or reconnaissance tasks
- Follow strict protocols for flight planning, including assessing airspace restrictions and coordinating with relevant authorities
- Maintain detailed logs of flight hours, maintenance activities, and mission reports for compliance and record-keeping
- Support mission planning by understanding military operations and integrating DoD (Department of Defense) experience when applicable
Skills
- Proven experience in drone operation with a strong understanding of aviation safety standards
- Skilled in photography and filming techniques to produce clear, professional-quality visuals
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on drone equipment
- Familiarity with GIS software for spatial analysis and data interpretation
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations governing UAS operations within national airspace
- Experience working within military or farm operations is better
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and stakeholders effectively
