C&S has an immediate opening for a weekend Housing Monitor in Jefferson City.
Salary/hours for Housing Monitor: $17/hr.; Saturdays & Sundays 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Perform related duties to maintain control and assist clients
- Assure safety of residents by actively observing activity in and around the building and grounds
- Consistently enforce shelter policies, procedures and guidelines
- Intervene when appropriate to resolve issues
- Complete pre-screening actions to determine intake eligibility of new individuals seeking admission and complete intake processing
- Add entries of incidents occurring during the shift to the daily shelter log record
- Read and sign the previous entries at the beginning of the shift
- Obtain and maintain statistics of attendance at all meetings and screenings
- Update and maintain current daily client list on computer
- Enter client data into the HMIS database when authorized and trained
- High school/GED Certificate with one year work experience
- Combination of training and work experience will be considered
- Must be a team player, a self-starter, and perform well with minimum supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative and independent judgment and decision-making skills, independent and creative thinking, ability to work with a team
- Must be supportive of the organization's mission and policies
- Ability to operate with a high level of confidentiality
- Good communication skills as well as the ability to work with diverse and challenging personalities are essential
- Basic computer skills (including Word and Excel)
- Must possess or obtain Adult and Child CPR, First Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens certification within three months of employment
- Complete HMIS training within three months of employment for select shifts
