Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packaging Specialist to assist in the daily packaging operations within our facility. This role is responsible for weighing, labeling, sealing, and preparing cannabis products for distribution while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with Missouri cannabis regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to follow strict procedures, and a commitment to maintaining product integrity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Label, package, case, seal and weigh cannabis products according to company SOPs and compliance regulations.
  • Assist with verification of all packaging and labeling for accuracy, ensuring correct METRC information.
  • Assist with proper sealing and storage of all packaged items to maintain product integrity.
  • Operate and maintain packaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Follow all handling and safety protocols to prevent contamination or damage to products.
  • Perform quality check procedures to ensure high quality condition of products.
  • Adhere to packaging and handling protocols to minimize product damage.
  • Assist with accurately logging product weights and packaging data into tracking systems.
  • Serve as a resource for other departments regarding packaging processes and solutions.

Compliance & Regulatory Standards

  • Assist with regular audits and investigating discrepancies
  • Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cannabis products to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with ensuring all products are packaged and labeled in compliance with Missouri cannabis industry regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations by adhering to company policies and SOPs.
  • Report damages, defects, and other issues to the Packaging Lead, the Inventory Lead or Compliance Manager as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver's license or ID.
  • Must be at 21 years of age and able to obtain an Agent ID.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 1 years of experience with projects and teams is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment. Preferably within a regulated industry, cannabis is a plus.
  • Experience with handling physical inventory, inventory control, and general inventory maintenance is a plus.
  • Capable of standing, walking, and performing tasks in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry is preferred.
  • Experience with Distru is a plus.
  • Experience with Metrc is a plus.
