Position Overview
C.R. Jackson is seeking a motivated Asphalt Plant Quality Control Technician to support our production team. - Perform asphalt and material tests in both lab and field environments
- Monitor plant production to ensure quality standards are met
- Collect asphalt samples and conduct density testing, including core samples
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete daily quality reports
- Work closely with plant teams, inspectors, and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong math skills
- 1–3 years of asphalt testing experience preferred (not required)
- HMA Level 1 and Asphalt Roadway Technician certifications, or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently or with a team
- Willingness to work weekends and/or nights as needed
